Listen to the clock ticking
Listen as your life ticks away from you
Seconds of life gone forever
Never to be repeated
Time is such a precious thing
Don't let it all pass straight by you
Delicated as a feather
But not easily defeated
Chorus:
What has gone shall never be changed
Only the future is yours to decide
What has gone shall never be changed
Don't get washed away in time's tide
Make your mark and stand out
Take control make something of yourself
Make yourself stand out in time
Don't just be a part of the mass
Rant, rave, scream or shout
Don't be another box on some shelf
Think to yourself "I'll make it mine"
Be the one to laugh last
Repeat chorus to end.

Reflections
Gazing in the mirror for a reflection of one's self
An image of our fear
Sectioned on a shelf
Do we see reality or the person that wish to be?
We all have our image but what is reflect
Like these imperfections
The truth hard to detect
See the image coming back at you
Seeing what others see
Reflecting in the mirror
Fitting in
With the desired crowd

Hands on the far sand
Scent of ink in the air
Dusty boards above me
Sunlight streaming through like an afterthought
Too late
So Late
All glass all around
Etching, here, there
Light show above me
She takes me by the throat and glistens
Too slow
So slow
Blue wash invades the world
Something inside
Burnt away
From inside she pulls
A thousand impaling eyes
Crumpled hisses wishes kisses
Too Bright
So Bright

I was here but now I'm gone
My memory fades but my words live on
You can't kill freedom though you can try
And out but we fly high
You say yeah right we say why
I say your doubt tells you why
We can see what you don't want
Future's ours just face the front
We try to advance but you drive back
You're out of date and you lose track

A Flashback
Psych:
Doctor thomas couldn't make it today.
I'll be taking your session.
I want you to take me back, to your childhood,
as it were, in a flashback...
I'm 10 years old and..
I'm stood in a field on a sunny day..
There's nothing around for miles apart from green grass
It's everywhere.
And.. in the distance I see.. a figure
It's getting nearer by the second
It's a girl, about my age, 10 or 11..
And she's still coming nearer
White dress and blonde hair..
I feel myself lose control of..
Of my body..
and my mind
I run to a nearby tree..
For salvation
But still.. the girl.. she's getting nearer..and nearer..
And by now, I can see her eyes
She's.. staring right through me..
At my Soul
Beautiful.. big blue eyes
But then she.. she just stops
A few metres away from me
Falls to the ground
And starts to cry
Tears that could be heard for miles around
Again I feel an overwhelming force over my body
Compelled to offer my help
I gradually walk towards her
To see if there's.. any way I can help
And then.. she tilted her head and looked at me
With those beautiful big blue eyes
She looked as if she was going to say something
But didn't.
Didn't say a word
The tears rolled off her cheeks and landed at my feet
I felt as hollow..
As an easter egg
(I was 10 at the time)
And then.. just so very cold.. inside
And then.. I don't know why.. but I just turned around and ran
As far as I possibly could as fast as I possibly could
I never saw the girl in the white dress again
Never saw those big blue eyes again
Hang about.. stop.. I don't to talk about this anymore
Not with you
Where's my proper doctor?
I want to leave NOW
Where's my coat?
You're all the same
Toy with our emotions
Flaming charlatans the lot of you

This isn't working
It never did
It was your idea
Just like a kid
Melt the metal
I want to leave
We shouldn't stay
What would that achieve?
A friend without a name
Telling you again
Stay away from her
The more you play the game
The more it sounds the same
Trying to forget
(about the girl)
I'm going out
Far away
I can't rest
Now I stray
The end starts here
All over soon
Cross the floor
Sympathy Imune
A friend without a name
Telling you again
Stay away from her
The more you change your name
The more you hide your shame
Never can forget
(about the girl)

Karen
She sits crumpled paper pen in mouth
Bleeding her life onto phosphor
Her minds eye flies from her house
Accross the concrete and water
She's the angel in the machine
Beautiful words, beautiful girl
She doesn't know I'll tell her again
Beautiful girl, beautiful words
She doesn't know I'll tell her again
She holds death in her hand and cuts
Her red tears mingle with mine
To Her the world hates her guts
The pain all gone in one line
She's the angel in the machine
Beautiful words, beautiful girl
She doesn't know, I'll tell her again
Beautiful girl, beautiful girl
She doesn't know, I'll tell her again

And we hadn't realised the insanity developing around us.
The screaming, the laughing the shrieking.
Seeing the reports now months later, made my eyes burn with shock
I phoned Gally
Have you seen the news? Yes. Damn it, were were there. I know. Can we meet up? Have you contacted Tinnhaus?
I battered Gally with my questions
I think Gally noticed the slight panic in my voice
But hell the situation was desperate
Something had to be done
Now if we could contact Tinnhaus, he'd know what to do
He always kept a cool head, even at times like these
The news reporter was still talking, evidently this was viewed as a remarkable incident.
I dashed over and pushed in a recording tape
My mind feverishly playing back the events three months ago
My god - that girl who had grabbed my hand, she must have been one of them
I stared at my hand..
To have been touched by something capable of that
I dashed to the bathroom to scrub my fingers, more to cleanse my mind.
Later in the day, I met Gally at some dive.
We sat at the round table, just looking at each other.
Listening to the glasses chink
"He wasn't in." Gally said finally
"Yes he was. I went round." I reported glumly
"He wouldn't see me."
"Does he know?"
"I think so"
"HEY!" came a shout from accross the room
"this could be..
THE END"

Mistakes you made when a child
Return to haunt you till you die
Never forget the passage of time
Always reborn, in a second life
Half of you, half the rest
Half the truth is always best
A life with you, a life of lies
Life and death stop in your eyes
Symbol of a tortured youth
Washes cars but hides the truth
Tied to life with a golden chain
Tied, into a dream again
The chance you get is so unfair
Only spend a lifetime there
Another chance another space
Outside time, outside space
Final words of hate on ice
Let go now, abandoned twice
Wasting life on an empty soul
Love's never lost, just re-sold
Half of you, half the rest
Half the truth is always best
A life with you, a life of lies
Life and death stop in your eyes
